Ep 9, Pt 4: Why is Daddy Always Happy? Mask Charade with David Blair
There’s plenty of meaning outside of sports for the term “Daddy’s always happy”. Some are good, some are bad, some are cringe-worthy. Whatever the meaning, one thing is clear: Coach Steve teaches us that sports isn’t always about sports.
So, why would someone say “Daddy’s always happy”? The faculty tries to answer that very question. Did our faculty of improvisers and actors get it right? If you’ve seen the show before you’d realize how ridiculous the question is.
We then visit the most famous movie that many have never heard of. The film received 5 Academy Awards, 10 Golden Globes, and is considered a legendary director’s magnum opus. It is often cited as the greatest ensemble movie ever made, and is continually ranked in the top ten of America’s greatest films. What is it? Marie tries to tell us through the Mask Charade in Part 4 of Balderdash Academy with Visiting Professor David Blair.
