Welcome to Balderdash Academy
Balderdash Academy is the comedy and improv ensemble behind the Balderdash Academy’s Competitive Comedy, Head to Head Competitive Trivia comedy show, the improvised sketch serial Balderdash Academy's Teacher's Lounge, and our live shows Balderdash Academy’s On the Air! and Balderdash Academy’s Improv Live. It was originally was conceived by our founders, Bob LeBlanc and Steve Corning, as a live adult prom show in the spring of 2019. During the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, the concept evolved as live theater shows were temporarily suspended. Through the hard work of the founders and our founding faculty, Nate Greene, Molly McGill, Marie Stewart Harmon, and with the inclusion of CarlaRose Dubois, Randy Hunt, and David Hanright it quickly grew to the network of shows, podcasts, and live shows we produce today.
We performed during the pandemic to bring laughter in this difficult time. We’re now bringing live shows to the public now that it’s safe to do so. Balderdash Academy is a testament to the power of the ensemble and the ideals of improvisational theater. We hope you enjoy it.

We have two charities that are near and dear to our hearts here at Balderdash Academy. The first is the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, a disease that affects many, including a cast member and our families. The next is the Alzheimer’s Association.
