Music Theory to Our Ears

Two things were abundantly clear when we had CarlaRose Dubois on as a substitute professor. The first is that she is clearly a fan favorite. The second is that she is clearly a faculty favorite as well. We thought that it wasn’t fair that she had to take over another person’s segment. She’s an accomplished actor and singer. She might be new to improv, but she has a raw, natural talent. She is smart, funny, wildly talented, and fits with our faculty well.

We have decided to grow our Balderdash Academy family and there is one position that we needed to fill first. We’d like to announce that we have offered CarlaRose a position within our fake comedy academy and she has accepted. It is our pleasure to announce our new Professor of Music Theory, Professor CarlaRose Dubois.

Beginning after December (yes, we have episodes already filmed through the end of the year) CarlaRose will be filling in from time to time with a segment focused on music. She’ll be designing her games and running the segment just like the rest of the faculty. It’s clear that she belongs here and we’re lucky to have her.

“But when can we see her again? Do we have to wait a whole four months?”

Excellent question, random student. No. You’ll get to see her again when she takes over sports for Steve September 7th.

We’ll be announcing more new faculty members in the coming months, but today belongs to Professor CarlaRose Dubois. Give her a warm Dasher welcome.

But is she qualified? Take a listles/look at this hilarious quarantine-era PARODY of the iconic video and song by The Pretenders, "Brass in Pocket." Lyrics and vocals by CarlaRose Dubois, video by the Dubois...
